This Web-Site is our U.S. History Project. We have watched Roots and now we have to do a project. Daniel is doing the summary of Roots. Henry is doing how Roots relates to U.S. History, and Debbie is doing about how slavery is inhumane.

Roots is a T.V. movie series based on a book written by Alex Haley. Roots originally aired in 1977(we watched the DVD). It was directed by Marvin J. Chomsky John Erman David Greene and Gilbert Moses.

The book was about Alex Haley discovering his ancestors and the T.V. movie series is a dramatization of it.

We like the T.V. movie series because it has one of the best story lines in any T.V. made movie series. It was really interesting to see how the plot unfolds from the beginning to end. From Slavery to Freedom it was all exciting.

The music was also nice. You are listening to the intro music right now.

The movie is 573 minutes long. You can also buy the DVD now. We took a couple of weeks to watch the whole series and every minute of it was worth it.

We would now like to take our time and to thank Mr. Robb for showing us this movie because if it weren't for him we would have never been exposed to this wonderful movie.
